Domaine Marcel Deiss Rouge 2015

Domaine Marcel Deiss Rouge 2015

She is my kind of girl, elegant and gorgeous. She is perfectly imperfect and has this French je-ne-sais-quoi beauty on her curve. Domaine Marcel Deiss Rouge is the kind of wine that made me gaga for wine. Her delicate smile might suggest that she is coy, but the moment of tête-a-tête with her, you realize she is ready to charm you with her floral and succulent red fruit aroma. It’s not just the aroma that she is alluring you; it’s her wholesomeness that comes from aroma of forest floor and limestone. Her gorgeous body and subtle texture of tannin just make you want more of her.

When I received Domaine Marcel Deiss Rouge, I immediately thought she was Riesling. It was only when I was about to rest her in the cooler that I realized she was Pinot Noir. Alsace is a prominent Riesling region, and red wine production is only about 6 percent, so no wonder I thought she was Riesling. However, don’t be fooled by how little Pinot Noir they produce in the region. The disproportional ratio of white to red production doesn’t say anything about the wine. Domaine Marcel Deiss shows how mind blowingly amazing Alasatian Pinot Noir can be.

My friends have told me multiple times that I’m obsessed with anything French. I’ve been trying really hard to defend that I wasn’t, but who am I kidding and how can one not be when wines like Domaine Marcel Deiss Rouge is just so divine?
